Yes, it was very tasty. Even better since all we had to do was heat it up. But it does point out how very large restaurant portions are. Three of us had the beef for dinner, daughter had some for lunch yesterday, and I finished it off tonight. We still have one serving of the quiche left. All in all, it was money well spent!

We try to order at least once a week to help support the restaurants. In addition to our Friday pizza night.
How is working from home? I would be very distracted.
Stay well!

Working from home is a challenge. Not so much the distractions but by the things you don't have that you took for granted at work. Like a proper office chair and a desk the right height for typing. And realizing that not all of the information you need is available online and having to make an office run to pick up stuff. The good parts, the very, very short commute, wearing jeans or leggings and t-shirts every day and, best of all, no alarm clock in the morning. One of my colleagues told me that she thinks one of the reasons she's doing well is that she worked on a degree in an online program. it forced her to be disciplined and she's now back into that mode.
The question of the day: if April showers bring May flowers what does April snow bring?? it wasn't much, but yesterday morning was so cold we had a few flurries. Quite a shock for mid-April. We've had snow before in March, but not in April.

We had a few flurries early in the week. I think it has snowed on Easter before here. So true about the issues working from home. I didn't really think of that kind of stuff. For me it would be hard to stay focused on tasks at home. I say that but I have never worked from home so maybe I would be more focused if I had to. Nice to be able to get up and work in jeans or sweats. I have stopped wearing make-up at work and about since I wear a mask that covers most of my face. No use. Have a super weekend and stay well everyone!

One of my colleagues is making very crafty and she's making masks for everyone. I hadn't thought about the make-up/mask issue. But being home I haven't worn make-up or heels since mid-March.
Have a good weekend.

Sorry about the snow Ladies! Heard of several states having April weather. The last date of snow I remember was on 1 May many years ago, but there´s also been snow several times at Easter when it was earlier.
Good not to have to wear make-up and high heels Rachel! Hope you´ll be able to return to a proper desk though! Hubby´s "working" from home, which consists mostly of getting calls from his co-workers every day whether they´re healthy, but (though his boss didn´t allow it, as he´s over 60 lol!) he drives to work once a week to get order into everything coming in.
Good luck with the haircut Kygal! My hubby hasn´t got much hair too, but he didn´t yet ask me to cut it. I understand about the grocery buying being the highlight of the week! Wonder if you´re allowed to go for a walk once in a while?
Masks are on demand here, so several firms and designers decided to make some. I ordered a beautiful one with flowers, but will have to wait at least two weeks. Till then I can wear a scarf too. Looking ahead to my bookshop which has opened after Easter! Miss the libraries though.
Have a good weekend everyone and stay healthy!

Hi Midoro! I am starting to get a little stir-crazy. Hubby is happy because the golf courses will open this week. I went for a long walk and got caught up on some shows I recorded. I have done some cleaning so that is a good thing. Will be a new normal for a while I imagine.
Stay well!

Hi all, yesterday would have been the day my girl's beach week was to start. Since we couldn't be together, we had a Zoom hang-out and shared a glass of prosecco virtually. It was so good to see everyone. We hung out and chatted, sharing quarantine stories, book recommendations, and just catching up with each other for almost 2 hours. It was fun and we plan to do it again sometime this week.

Sorry about your trip Rachel. What a fun idea about your Zoom group. We are finding ways. Our trip is the end of June but who knows.

Yes, who know? Our family beach trip is in August, we moved it from June and now I'm really glad we did. The beach we go to isn't highly populated so I'm hoping we can still take the trip. My professional organization has it's annual meeting in July and I can't believe it hasn't been cancelled already. Especially since it's in New Orleans! One of the biggest hot spots in the country.

We plan to go if able. Same with us that its a private beach and beach house. May not go out to eat or shopping much but hope to go. We may not be able to lounge on the beach but just walking and being there will be good for the soul! Yeah...I don't know about your NO trip. Time will tell I guess.
Stay well!

Sorry about missed trips, and hoping you´ll be able to do some later on! We had lodgins booked for Italy, but that will most likely not happen. Will be glad if we can make summer holidays in Austria, perhaps in an apartment, in case the restaurants aren´t open till then.
Though I hope to get two books from my small bookstore soon, I also miss the libraries. Got a lot of books at home though, and also on my kindle.
Stay well too!

Oh, the NOLA trip is off the table, even if they don't cancel I won't be going. Husband is in the high risk category and I wouldn't be comfortable going. Kind of sad about it as it will be the first time I'll not have gone since 1989.
