Okay, anyone else kinda like Mr. Armitage? I have to admit, I didn't think much of him at first, but he's kinda growing on me.... He's the only thing worth watching in the BBC's Robin Hood and I just watched North & South last night, which I found myself loving very much against my will. I thought I'd wind up returning the 2 DVD's to Netflix after watching one ep (as happened with "Empire") but I wound up watching all four hours until one in the morning. (Yes, I'm tired and I don't want to talk about it, okay?) Mr. Armitage was very appealing in this mini as John Thorton, a character that is very much a kissing cousin to Mr. Darcy, so of course I just loved him. LOL. RA is definitely not the actor Ruf is (or even as good as my Gerard) but he's a very serviceable actor and there is something very watcheable about him.

Nope, not me, not really. But I love Tom Hollander. Who wants to talk about Tom Hollander?? Sorry, I'm not planning to hijack your thread, I just love Tom Hollander.

Sorry, I'm not planning to hijack your thread, I just love Tom Hollander. LOL. I love Tom Hollander too. I'm not at ALL attracted to him, but I think he's wonderfull. He's one of the few good things in POTC 3 (Bill Nighy being the other good thing.) Tom has a one really great scene, which I won't go into b/c it would be a spoiler. Now, back to the hotties like Mr. Armitage. ;D

I am VERY attracted to him. Ah well, he's all yours in that department. I mean, he's a nice looking chap, but I won't be fighting you for him.

Armitage... well... he's the poor man's Hugh Jackman, isn't he?
Tom Hollander is cute. I just watched him in Land of the Blind. Interesting role for him.
I'm not going to fight you for either of these guys... or Rufus for that matter...

Armitage... well... he's the poor man's Hugh Jackman, isn't he? LOL. Well, I don't think RA is as good looking as HJ, that's for sure. Tom IS cute, just not my type. But I really love him as an actor. Like in that movie with Ruf, he's just a hoot to watch. And I'm not kidding when I say he was one of the few redeeming things in POTC 3. He doesn't help make up for the mess it is, but at least his 15 minutes onscreen are enjoyable. Well, I'm not sure I'd fight for Mr. Armitage either, but I'm considering it. The only man I'd currently catfight another woman for would be Gerard Butler! (meOW!!!!)

I used to think RA was absolutely gorgeous - and he was, in N&S. Since then I have been less than impressed by his acting, which seems to me to be on the wooden side (ducks for cover). As JT he was superb but sadly I think it was the part that suited him rather than his amazing skills.
The sex thimble - nah, not my style I'm afraid.
GB -mmm ok, could be persuaded to have a look. He was very good in Dear Frankie, I liked that a lot.
If I cant have Rufus then I think I would go for Mark Harmon. OK so he is American but I think he has talent and he is very easy on the eye. I actually think he is a good actor as well as just being a pretty face but others may well not agree!

I'll step up to the mark for Mr Armitage! I noticed him in Robin Hood the same way I noticed Roof in AKT - as in everyone one else was nothing much to look at but... who the hell was that?! So of course I googled him, sought out North and South and - another mini-obsession was born. He's also very good in Sparkhouse, BTW - and he was cute *and* funny in the Vicar of Dibley Christmas special last December. Never thought I'd be jealous of Dawn French. But N&S is definitely his finest hour so far. It's time he got another decent break and I'd like to see him on stage (rumour has it he's working on that). I see the resemblance to HJ and I like Hugh, too - but I don't think Richard's a poor man's anything. He's got potential and meanwhile he's very easy on the eye in all that black leather and guyliner. ;D LOL etherealtb! Been there. Want to know something even worse? Still there. EVERY time I watch the thing I think - this time I'll just watch one episode...or maybe just the first disk. But no. Four hours. Every time. Watchable indeed.

That's what I meant, I don't think he's much of an actor, well variety-wise, but there is something about him I really like. Yeah, that's Gerard at his best. (Best acting and best looking.) But N&S is definitely his finest hour so far. It's time he got another decent break and I'd like to see him on stage (rumour has it he's working on that). Really? So what you are saying is, just enjoy RA's best and don't expect anymore? I can live with that. ;D I'm actually intrigued that he also was in musical theatre. I mean seriously, if he can sing, why wasn't he in Amazing Grace instead of Ioan G? yup, nope, he's all yours too... ;D Good! 'Cause I'd have to KEEL you if you got in my way.

If I was going to chase down an actor and lock him up in a cave for a year or two it would be Marton. You're all welcome to these other people. Of course I'd have to bring my portable DVD player soes I could watch Rufus during the breaks, but that's another story altogether.

Hey wait a minute! 'Someone' deleted a post! What's that noise, is it, a chicken clucking???
