So for the longest time my two imaginary boyfriends were Rufus and Tom Hollander. Ok, so Roof was the top dog and Tom was Plan B. But now - I'm not exactly sure yet - it feels like Tom is kicking Roof from his pedestal (in my head that is, I bet irl Rufus would kick Tom across the room if the need arose). Is it time to rearrange my dance card? Ay caramba! , Martha probably just opted for Laurence because she didn't have three years to decide between Frank and Daniel...

um, your conundrum may be falling on deaf ears in this place.
Did you see TH in Land of the Blind? He was really good. I was especially amused by his diaper scene.

um, your conundrum may be falling on deaf ears in this place. Ha ha, crazy isn't it. I mean, this is Tom bloody Hollander. More and more people seem to get it though but I don't expect ardent Rufus fans to understand. I just thought I'd mention my crisis so if my level of squee seems to subside (which I think has happened recently) ya'll know where it's gone. Yes, bizarre film. A bit of a disaster. Still, Tom was cute.

you don't have to squee over Rufus. I don't. I squee over this wet guy to the left...
Just appreciate Rufus for his talent which is considerable.

Dont you have enough squees to go round? You may have my squee for the sex thimble and I will keep your Rufus one warm for you if you like.

Ever since the discussion about Martha meet.... and I made my faux pas regarding Daniel, it seems that I see TH in every third movie I watch. I also find that I own a number of them - the most recent I watched was A Clandestine Marriage. He is quite talented and very enjoyable to watch. I just laugh each time I see him in a movie - it was though he was invisible in the past. Rufus still rules for me.
Martha didn't have a clue with Daniel and Frank - they were multi-dimensional, complex personalities that required time and attention. Laurence was a mopey-dopey cardboard cutout with no personality. They deserved eachother, two negatives..... and all that.

Ok, I admit to being a bit dense about TH..........I've watched you all talk about him, I've looked up his films and even those I've seen.....I never could figure out who he was. But after watching Pirates 3 (yeah, I know, how lame) it has just hit me like a brick who the heck this guy is!!!! I haven't seen a lot of his films, but I would like to see more. And he is a cutie, no Rufus, but a cutie nonetheless! I can see why he would bring a squee, Uke!!!

Would you please, quoll? the most recent I watched was A Clandestine Marriage. Man, I haven't even seen A Clandestine Marriage! *jealous* Martha didn't have a clue with Daniel and Frank - they were multi-dimensional, complex personalities that required time and attention. Laurence was a mopey-dopey cardboard cutout with no personality. They deserved eachother, two negatives..... and all that. Amen to that! Plus, Daniel didn't deserve her put down at all. She was so shallow! Ughh.

I'm not a big fan of the wig though He brings so much squee!

I'm going to see Pirates tonight! I hear he's in it more than Pirates II which is exciting. I'm not a big fan of the wig though LOL. IMHO, Tom and Bill Nighy are the only good things in Pirates III (can you tell I hated it?) But as a Tom fan, I'm sure you'll enjoy the movie. He's wonderful as usual and has one really great scene, which I won't spoil for you and which you'll know when you see it. He definitely makes the most of the part. While TH doesn't make me squee, I really like him as an actor. I still think he's the best Mr. Collins I've ever seen, and as a P&P fan, I've seen my fair share!

I saw Pirates yesterday. I thought it was good fun and artsy (for something as commercial as Pirates that is) I did catch myself thinking 'will this never end?' a few times.
