You can, but your plane gets detoured because of a volcanic ash cloud, typhoon, hurricane, sandstorm and giant hailstones - so you don't arrive until 9 July.....and it ends on the 8th!
I wish nail varnish would last on my nails, and not get chipped within five minutes.

We can, but it' very thin ice, and he ends up a little damp and not in the most positive of moods toward 'wishers.;
i wish i had some new chapters written instead of constantly doing rewrites.

You can, but only because you sell your house....but then you have nowhere to put them all and no money for food or clothes, so you end up selling them all at a loss and your family never speak to you again!

It's not anymore. Of course taking out all the fat and sugar has made it taste like straw so you don't even want to eat it anymore.
