For those of you in the London area, Rufus is on the front cover of the late edition of today's Standard......methinks there'll be a sherry or two partaken in Shepherd's Bush tonight.

Long time coming - totally worthy! I am so happy for him - I did not know when it would be announced so I took a sneak look back into the web.

Congratulations Rufus. I am so pleased you won. I enjoyed your performance in Rock 'n' Roll every time I saw it!

He's jealous! Now Kathleen Turner has seen better days but even she looks great next to Rufus - our fine wine!

Congratulations indeed - and so richly deserved! And if he really has nothing lined up, as he says in the Standard interview, then it must be a 'holiday beard'. Ah, but the hair makes all the difference. Swept back in Cardiff (rather harsh) but curls cascading gently onto his forehead in London... (Shhh, don't mention the hair, he hates it when you do!) ;D

From thisislondon.co.uk: Presented with the best actor prize by Kristin Scott Thomas for his role as a Czech dissident, Sewell, 39, said: "This award is very special because it is quite easy to get recognised for being a newcomer, but to still be in the game all these years later is fantastic." On beating Kevin Spacey (A Moon For The Misbegotten), Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon) and Bill Irwin (Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf ?), Sewell said: "It's unbelievable. It doesn't bear thinking about. "
