Congrats to Rufus and to the play for winning! And thank you to all you Brits that gave us all the news, the URL's to the stories, and most especially the gorgeous pictures!!!!
Most excellent! Michelle

Well deserved !!~
I couldn't be happier! Well, yes I could actually, I'd be happier if I'd managed to SEE the play. Funny how our credit cards were mysteriously misplaced after I threatened to take that emergency leave of absence from work...

Congratulations to Rufus! A well-deserved recognition of a remarkable talent!
And thanks to all of you who actually got to see Rock 'n' Roll for sharing with the rest of us who didn't.

I've just read a quote from Rufus - he thanks Trevor Nunn "...for knowing that just because I , doesn't mean I understand" Oh, don't you just love him for comments like that?!

I'm still squeeeing, I feel like a mother at her kid's school play! I, full of boundless enthusiasm and joie de vivre, bounced in and announced the glad tidings to the newsroom team at work today... ...and was faced with a roomful of cynical hacks bearing expressions that all said variations of "so what, you sad cow?" ! Don't care. Still dead chuffed for him. So there.

I KNEW there's be little point in telling my 3 mates the news when we met up earlier tonight, simply for that 'sad cow' type of reason. but i was heartened to get a text from my partner saying that he'd seen roof's pic and the story in his newspaper today. even my other half is now picking up on roof stories! truly remarkable!!
c'mon someone - offer him the part of a lifetime.....

I feel terrible about all of this. I'm not even on the proper continent and all of my friends are thrilled. No sad cow comments, no nothing, except things like "you know I really need to see that picture where he...[fill in blank with whatever Rufus film you've missed]" I've even had several people say, so do you think this will convince them to bring Rock 'n' Roll to B'way? Do you think he might do it if they do??!!! See I told you, in my group I'm the non-believer ;D

I have my son well trained - he even picked up a copy of the Evening Standard because he thought I would like it - well before I smsed him!!!
