The problem with the part of Mr. Rochester is that Mr. R is not supposed to be good-looking.

That is very true, but neither is Jane, and they almost always cast her as some beautiful woman. Besides, they could have him wear his mustache and play up his eyebrow scar It's probably moot anyway, because as Ellie pointed out, Rufus likely wouldn't want such a romantic period-movie role.

Double Post!!! SORRY!!! You haven't seen t&i, good lord i recommend you order a copy asap I'm with you on the Jude law thing, he's so flat all the time don't you get a sense of him being a real bore? Maz- I HAVE seen it! that is what got me ranting when I said this: Uuugghhh and Rueful...OH MY GAWD don't get me started on beady eyed Tristan and his simpleton stare. I spent WAY to much of the movie yelling at mushroom boy to get off the screen and stop c**k blocking Lord Marke to enjoy it properly. GAWD LORD MARKE........ there are just not enough words to describe his epicness. doh

I'd also love to see him as Rochester and, you know, I don't think he would necessarily turn it down, if offered the role.
I think his objection was that after he'd played a period role, producers' minds seemed closed to what else he could do and so they only offered him the same type of role (ditto baddies). Given a bit of distance from them, I'm sure he'd do one again - if the script was good enough and the role interesting.

It's my honor......I'm so glad you like them.
Yes, I saw it yesterday, and I like it.........
Three years early, my friend suicided and my works were so hard, I drank when I wanted to sleep and forgot very things....so I drank and forgot and drank at least one month.........it's a hard time, I even tied my food on the bed, just stoped myself to jump out of building.........so I totally undstand why people want to drink.......It's not because they are bad guy, it's because they realise the life is meaningless, finally.........whatever you did, whatever you do, it's all meaningless..........That's the life's truth........So, that time, I just wanted to happy myself and gave up all things......that month was so hard...........I just thirsty and I just want to drink somethings........
heeeheee, I'm so glad to get out of it........... life is meaningless.............and so what? I really don't care now......I can find meaning myself..........some of them in EH...........
heeeeheeee..............Thanks a lot, I love it more than Leaving Las Vegas, I think life is sock, but.......so what?

Kate, I'm very sorry about your friend. How terrible for you and all the other loved ones your friend left behind. I think life can have great meaning when you make connections with other people, and you seem to do that very well! Hugs to you!

I send you hugs as well Kate, I too am sorry to hear about your friend.
I think Rueful is right, connections with other people is exactly what life is about...it is when we isolate ourselves that things get bad- for me at least.
That and Rufus... life is about Rufus.
He is good medicine.
XD
I'm glad to hear you are in a better place now Kate. <3

Kate so sorry to hear, it's never easy dealing with tragedy. Best thing is to have friends that you can talk to and confide in, take it from someone who knows. Take care.

Rueful, I'm so sorry to say that, that's too sad, Hugs to all of you!
BTW, Famke, I agree with you, I like the medicine so much..........heeee.......
About the film, I agree with peach, "he's the right age for it as well. " Oscar like alcoholic, nuts, and Forrest Gump...........life's truth is not that import, meaning is more.

I watch battlestar.galactica.s03e08.and find it, so great, share with you...
Saul Tigh :Tell you a dirty little secret. The toughest part of getting played, is losing your dignity. Feeling like you are not worth the oxygen you are sucking down. You get used to it. You start to believe it. You start to love it. It's like a bottle that never runs dry. You can keep reaching for it over and over and over again. Bill Adama: So how do you put that bottle away, Saul? Saul Tigh :I don't know. One day you just decide to...get up and walk out of your room. ---battlestar.galactica.s03e08.

I'm having the most boring office day and keep browsing through the old stuff. Love the subject of this thread and couldn't agree more with all that was written on topic - those polished, interchangeable Hollywood poster boys can go home. It's the little imperfections that add up with his obviously lovely personality to a REAL MAN And this just made me LOL: LOL--Mushroom boy. He is rather fungal, isn't he? But as I warned my dear friend Tipou some time ago, when she compared him to potatoes, be careful that the mushrooms of the world do not rise up against you to seek vengeance for the extreme insult.
