well, cat, with the recent cutbacks at the CBC, i only hope big projects like TPOTE will not go down the canceled tv listings drain.
they better not. i already have my chips and dip ready, the VCR is ready to go vrrrr, a small hand fan is ready to be used in case of hot scenes....

Well, its the sort of project that could lure viewers like me to give the CBC another chance. I don't usually associate drooling and the CBC in the same thought, unless its "drooling ijuts".

Wish I could say I love reading "Pillars" right now. Love the characters and the storyline, but there is waaay too much detail that goes on and on and on for my taste. So much so I think it actually hurts the pace of the novel tremendously. Set and description are all well and fine--but it goes way beyond that...becomes so boring at times. So, if I may--I recommend getting the audio book if you haven't started reading it yet. Good news--no--Great news--Rufus should be in some pretty darn HOT scenes as Tom in the movie (fingers extremely crossed!) If they shoot even just a few key love scenes from the book, it should make many of us (ok, all of us) very happy!!

Aaaah, we are a simple folk aren't we rufluvr!!!! All we ask for is a bit of sex in the forest.............. Tom seems to get more than his fair share of luvin' in this book (which is obviously why they cast Roof) ;D They still haven't told us who will play Ellen tho have they?

No, they haven't cast Ellen yet. If I remember right, she's in most of the book so her part is very important. I'll be madder than a mad thing if they write her out of the miniseries. I might just march over to Hungary or Austria, give those producers a piece of my mind, and snatch Rufus right up and whisk him outta there. Yes I will. (Yes, I'm more delusional than usual tonight. Just finished watch T&I again. And there are too many lusty thoughts on the cap-its tonight!)

T&I will do that too you wichi - as will a big sword in the back (& earthy lustiness)!!! (that's what husbands are for i've discovered) I can't see how they could write Ellen out, i mean she's Jack's mother (who is cast) & Tom's main squeeze so it just wouldn't work without her i would have thought!!!! But they are supposed to start filming next week aren't they & still no word yet.

I'm looking forward to lots of good love scenes for Rufus. The sex in the forest scene ... I'm wondering if he'll diet himself down to scrawny for the scenes when Tom Builder and his family are walking everywhere and starving. I hope not. I hope they just do some fancy tricks with makeup and lighting.
