Would love to see Ru in a remake of Philadelphia Story.....sheer perfection, and perhaps Colin Firth in the Jimmy Stewart role, now who for Ms. Hepburn's part as Tracy?

Yes Peach, I would love Rufus in Philadelphia Story. Would love to see him in a remake of Bringing Up Baby (Grant and Hepburn) with Shirley Henderson as co-star. Love that movie!

Rufus has the same ability to play comedy but with a bitter darkness so you don't quite know whether hes is a goodie or a baddie.
How about 'North by North West' and 'Charade '
And what about 'Notorious'
N by NW and N have two of the hottest sexiest kisses on screen.

kygal, Oh I would love to see the two of them reunited...they have such chemistry and an effortless acting style......Francesca I think he would be smashing in Notorious, that is one of my all time faves of Mr. Grant...dark, sarcastic with just a touch of snarky humour.
Now if only someone would cast him in roles like this we'd all have it made.

dark, sarcastic with just a touch of snarky humour. Oh, wouldn't that be PERFECT? I can imagine this kind of role might appeal to him.

Bringing Up Baby is hilarious. Rufus would be perfect in this comedy. Agree with GE2, who do we call!!! I like the other suggestions as well. Seems like remakes are popular right now.

Shouldn't our fantasies about Cary Grant remakes starring Rufus rather go into this thread instead the Confessions?

Shouldn't our fantasies about Cary Grant remakes starring Rufus rather go into this thread instead the Confessions? Excellent point, kate! I'll see if I can manage that, without causing too much chaos!

My favorite, favorite "The Lion in Winter." Shirley's wit would be wonderful there, but I really can't see her in the part of Eleanor. I don't watch enough non-Rufus stuff to suggest a female lead. Wouldn't you give anything to see Rufus play against Katherine Hepburn in her heyday, though?
