(LOL! Now I must get the version of AKT with the commentary! I can totally believe that Rufus, in his wild old days, hosted some wild parties!) As to the selection of Charles II as our first MotW ... Not surprising ... he is King of course!

Before I buy this please can someone advise is it the ordinary version - or the Directors Cut and does anyone know the difference. Can you describe the box please ? I really don't know why they can't just do 1 version & put everything on it. But then I guess we'd all just buy 1 and not 4. LOL ! ;D Nell, I have just the normal german DVD with some (english) extras and bonus material. I don't know if it's a special one. Check your DVD first before buying another one. Maybe the audio commentary is on it too!

Now I may just have to buy yet another dvd to get the Paul Betany commentary. Before I buy this please can someone advise is it the ordinary version - or the Directors Cut and does anyone know the difference. Can you describe the box please ? I really don't know why they can't just do 1 version & put everything on it. But then I guess we'd all just buy 1 and not 4. LOL ! ;D www.amazon.com/Knights-Tale-Special-Heath-Ledger/dp/B00000F4ZY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1276977209&sr=8-1This is the one that I just ordered (It will make my THIRD different copy of AKT! LOL!) I tried to find an equivalent Region 2 DVD on Amazon.co.uk but they only offered this same North American version.

Thanks nicole & judy
I double checked nicole & the commentary's not on either version that I have. I had decided not to bother just yet buying yet another version. Do I really want to sit through the whole movie with a commentary I ask myself. I had a look online anyway - just to convince myself & now I've seen a copy in the uk - really cheap. Can I resist is the question ? For now I've decided I can. I have other movies to buy. But, I can't guarantee I won't change my mind by the end of the day !
I have 2 more movies to - the Illusionist & Cold Comfort Farm I've seen them both don't own them yet. Can anyone advise please if there is a better version of these to buy ? It appears there are at least 2 versions of both again. Is there a disc with extra's on it ?
I'd be grateful for any info you have ladies.

Thanks for finding this, Tip! Leave it to Ru to understand sexposition and play the scene so seductively. No surprise to anyone here, though......

Thanks nicole & tipou
The commentary makes interesting reading. I think it's probably boys being boys and exaggerating but hey it's a bit of a laugh. ;D

Numbat, thank you for that fantastic idea! I'm really looking forward to new discussions! (and it helps me to decide which DVD in my pile to pick out for my Rufus fix! )

Rufus has said he's given up partying and drinking . Wonder if this was why? Especially when he has to think of Billy.

I wouldn't be surprised, Frannie. AKT was filmed and released before Billy was born. I'm sure fatherhood was one of the really big reasons he started to settle down a bit.

Besides, even live sex at one's parties gets old after a while. Ha!
What a fun idea of a weekly Rufus movie club, Numbat. I've been meaning to see Charles again. It is one of my top three favs. Possibly my numero uno fav because it's so very good, and there's so very much of His Roofness in it. It is a tour de force performance. Count me in on watching--and thanks for thinking this up and putting it out there.

Dunno about live sex getting old. Especially if Ru was involved, LOL! Will be watching first bit of Charles II after I put the Bambino to sleep, cannot wait!
