And Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, since his dad did the animation for that as well? Yes! Every time that came up, I always proudly mentioned that his dad was the animator even if their respond was "Rufus who?"

I saw on youTube his slide show with Elvis' Burning Love as the theme song, but I've always love to see him doing "Kiss Me Quick" or "He'll have to go" Would you have a link for me? Thanks for all your input, girls. You are fantastic as always! Frannie, I've been playing the Kings of Convenience record over and over and, like Rufus, it just keeps getting better every time. Songs that make me think of Rufus: - Billy Joel: And so it goes (came into my mind when Aurelio said goodbye to Tania in "Ratking" ) - Dolores Keane: Dangerous Dance (no apparent connection, but I listened to that song a lot when Rufusitis struck me so badly in November ) And although he's not even in the scene, "Jesus Joy of Man's Desiring" by J.S. Bach makes me think of him too because it's in the wedding scene of "Cold Comfort Farm". Certainly I've forgotten lots of songs ... will add them later. I'll also do an update of our track list soon (and thanks for reminding me of the Zen theme, that will have to be included for sure!)

I'm sorry but We Will Rock You just reminds me of terrible basketball games (and other sporting fixtures) where they play music. I know what you mean, but didn't Rufus mention it in one of the Zen interviews? I think it was on This Morning when the interviewers were talking about their son playing the drums. Eamon Holmes started sounding out a drum rhythm and Rufus muttered 'We Will Rock You."

sewellme, thanks, that should suffice Nell, I had included the Gopher Mambo anyway because it's just SO cool! We Will Rock You may have become a sports-event cliché fixture, but still the scene in AKT was very funny! (And thanks for giving me an excuse to re-watch the interview )

Stumbled upon "Green Eyes" by Coldplay today on youtube. Maybe not the greatest song, but the title caught my eye because I thought of Rufus, and the lyrics resonate. ^_^ "Green eyes, yeah the spotlight shines upon you." and "And anyone who tried to deny you must be out of their mind." <3 Anywayz, I just thought it was cute.

White Bear, this is so good! I've always thought of him when hearing Mad About the Boy by Dinah Washington! The album sounds awesome! Would love to have it to download! Is that possible!

I was thinking also about the tune from "Dangerous Beauty". I can make it from the DVD, if it is not available in another way. Wait for fzen to come along, she has a thing for Rufus and music, so she could have some good input here. I'm afraid my rufusitis is not so bad, and I think of Rufus only when I hear some of the movies...

I was wondering if the idea still stands... I managed to do my version of the music, including (mostly) Charles II, Dangerous Beauty, In a savage Land, I used the titles of the songs that you already mentioned, and added Tanita Tikaram (whoever discovered the connection between her "Twist in my sobriety" and Rufus, was a genius!). I am still waiting for other ideas, for I am not familiar with all Rufus' films, but in the meantime I listen to what I have, and I must admit the work goes smoother with it.

I was wondering if the idea still stands... It does. I just haven't ever got around to actually do more than collect ideas - next step will be getting hold of the songs/pieces I don't have yet. *blush* I've downloaded one of the songs from "Uncorked" that aren't featured on the soundtrack CD. Something by the Barenaked Ladies - I've forgotten the title, though

kissmekate, we share similar taste in music, just like in some men, apparently . This is regarding Tanita Tikaram and her Twist. May I add here, while listening to my improvised Rufus-movie-association concert: from "Tristan+Isolde", Anne Duddley's- *Young Tristan* *My Face in Thine Eye* *Two Loves Be One* *Wedding Cortege* from "Dangerous Beauty/The Honest Courtesan", George Fenton's- *Frail Paradise* *Soundtrack general composition* - this I found on utube have to admit- I ADORE not only Charles II (the guy+the films), but the music that goes with the whole package, and because I don't have the soundtrack, I made my tunes from the DVD. I have like 12-13 tracks...and counting (i'm nuts, I know, but this is no news).
