Sewellme, I agree. I never would have been able to exit that building calmly. I hope they are wrong about your upcoming weather and you don't get dumped on any more. That's the last thing your roofs need!
I'm from Chicago, by the way. Where people who voluntarily drive in the thick of a blizzard on a road immediately adjacent to a lake are shocked when the road becomes impassable and call themselves "victims" and "survivors". The weather was truly nasty and scary, but it's not like they weren't warned 4 days in advance. (Sorry, end of rant for today.)
Nell, I'm so sorry you're husband's employer is being harsh. I hope he's doing better physically, at least.

Thanks ladies. He's on the mend and had his first physio this week. He's been put on a warning at work though and if he needs to have more time off for anything it could lead to him losing his job. He received a letter today basically saying it was his fault for falling over. The b&$"^%ds !!! Still I cheered him by telling hiim his Chinese Zodiac of the rabbit (no comments please ;D) states he could be a diplomat or an actor. Maybe it's time for a change of career.

We had our bit of crazy snowy weather here a couple weeks ago, right around X-mas time. South Carolina is notoriously bad at handling snow and ice, so everything was closed for at least a week and we just didn't go anywhere.
Good luck to all you guys out in the middle of blizzards and such! Just take it easy and watch some Rufus ;D

Thanks friends - coming from a company that rings you up and threatens you when you're off sick - I don't know why I'm even surprised. I;m fighting the urge to ring them up and give then a mouth full this this time - no-one messes with my man !
Stay safe in all the blizzards and cyclones. Is there anything else the weather can throw at us ? I hope you can all sit tight and ride out the storm in safety.

Oh, Nell, I'm very sorry to hear that and keep my fingers crossed for your hubby. Companies behaving like that make me so angry - as if it's always your own fault if you have an accident or get sick

I'm pleased to hear that probably everyone of the Rooftop is well, although some of the ladies are much affected by the force of nature.
And Nell: I'll keep my fingers crossed that your hubby's employer will have enough common sense not to blame him for an accident due to bad weather conditions!

Some of you may recall hubby slipping on the ice in December - while at work and dislocating his shoulder. Well now he's being penalised for it by his company No?!! How can they do that? I hope it gets sorted soon and I'm thinking of you Nell.

Sorry about your hubby Nell - this really sucks. I'm glad that so far everyone seems to be ok in all the affected areas. The weather in some parts of the world is really going crazy.

Nell, I hope the physical therapy goes well. And I don't usually like to wish people ill, but I hope the people in charge at his job someday have the tables turned on them.
The strange weather is obviously due to global warming, caused by Rufus's hotness.
