What's this PGG ? How reliable is your source ?
If there's only a glimmer of hope maybe it's worth another barrage of emails to the BBC.

I don't know... it's only a tip-off and a little bit hope for continue Zen on BBC... I only know, that the BBC's decision to axe Zen has not yet been confirmed.... But I will take my eyes and ears open....

Ha! Maybe they've suddenly realised what a godawful mistake they made and are now scrabbling around trying to get Andy Harries to come back to the BBC?

Let's hope and pray that the production company Left Bank promote Zen (with a vengence) to all of the other prospective channels and that they all read the comments on the Guardian website.
I for one (and I'm sure many more will echo my sentiments) cannot understand why this show was axed in the first place. I am disappointed and disgusted in equal measure.
The powers that be should be welcoming Rufus with open arms onto British TV screens. We have been deprived of his many talents for way too long now.
He has been "weighed, measured", but never found "wanting" by his multitude of fans.

Thanks for this link it seems that most of them are clearly in favour of Zen
And PGG it would be really great if the rumours that Zen is not yet officially axed by the BBC were true....
Maybe another flood of emails could convince BBC that the axe upon Zen was a misconception?

I noticed something on twitter today. I'm probably clutching at straws but.... I twittered @sky homepage to say please #bringzenback and then they started following me and they are now watching the Detective Zen site. Does this mean anything? Maybe not but I thought it was interesting, are they watching the Zen site for a reason?

Got that article in my google alerts - one more who wants to commit a serious crime because of axing Zen. www.wowdewow.co.uk/2011/02/zen-in-rome/Zen in Rome… Published on February 28, 2011 by The Editor · 1 Comment Clare Grant feels like calling in the murder squad since the BBC bumped off her favourite TV cop Aurelio Zen All roads lead to Rome – or they did when detective drama Zen brought a much needed touch of ladolce vita to Sunday nights in January. Seems it’s only the city itself that’s eternal because the BBC has axed the show! Fans of Aurelio Zen played so well by Rufus Sewell are fuming. Some want to indulge in displays of emotion to cause traffic chaos near the Colosseum. Or at least make eye-watering abusive hand-gestures Italian-style to new BBC controller Danny Cohen. Who laughably, wants more ‘blue collar’ style dramas on a channel which is staffed without a working class person in plain sight! The show enjoyed good write-ups and good ratings – similar to those of Wallander, which was made by the same production company, Left Bank. Yet for some reason, this won’t cut it. What a waste, say aficionados of the well-placed but principled detective who might not be the slickest but gets the job done. While corrupt colleagues are placing bets on who’ll be first to bed the secretary. Actually it’s Zen who pulls this off too. But some guys don’t have all the luck. Easy-to-relate-to Zen was living with his mama beforehand! Happily, there’s now reason to believe that Zen is migrating – just as the detective did from his native Venice to Rome. For Left Bank is quite rightly locked in talks with other networks with a view to continuing the series. And let’s hope it is successful. It’s bad enough that Rome’s finest had to hand in his badge in the first place. But the thought that he’ll never get another gig? Now that really would be a crime. Do UK readers want to see Aurelio Zen back on his Roman beat? Or would you prefer to see your licence fee spent on more repeats? Comments welcome Clare Grant is wowdewow culture editor and would be very keen to help Zen with any inquiries

Wouldn't we commit any crime just to get Aurelio back in time to arrest us? Excellent find, Zenina, another reason to keep up hope!
