Don't get too excited - it's only a radio play. But still..... In an article about the actor/director Martin Jarvis: In fact he and his wife, actress Rosalind Ayres (the grandmother in Outnumbered) divide their time between London and LA where they have a second home. Jarvis has directed plays out there for the BBC and for National Public Radio to be broadcast across America, including Hamlet with an all-American cast and most recently an adaptation of England, Their England, AG Macdonell’s comic novel with its famous village cricket match, roping in a host of expat actors in Hollywood such as Alfred Molina, Iuan Gruffudd and Rufus Sewell.
Keep a watch on those radio listings, everyone! Probably on BBC Radio 4 over here, I would think. ( Beware - there is an audiobook of this, read by Martin Jarvis, but it's from 2007 so isn't this new production)

Thanks for the info GE2 . It's great to have something new to look forward to. Hope we get to hear this during the long wait for ALVH. I recall I saw Martin Jarvis last year when I saw Nocturne at Wigmore Hall (Lucy Parham played the piano in Nocturne) so the connection with Lucy I find interesting too.

Important question: Do those of us on this side of the pond have access to radio programs from England and if so, how and where? If not, can we hope such programs will end up on the Internet in some form? Help!!!

They might be available as a podcast or maybe even live on BBC webradio (or whatever that's called).

Very, very exciting news! Thanks for finding this, GE2! For the US members, the article GE2 posted notes that they've been co-produced for NPR. I checked their website www.npr.org and I don't see anything yet, but I'm sure it will be there eventually!
