When I read the book, I already knew Rufus was going to play a vicar but not which one (there are several) - but when I came across Duchemin, I could have sworn that would be his role Thanks for the review, GE2! I'm sure this will be a very memorable cameo appearance. I just looked up "kedgeree", too. Looks quite nice - but fish for breakfast? Erm, not for me.

Fish is lovely for breakfast! I suppose it's an English thing - I love kippers!

I just had to google that, too. Looks nice also, but definitely no fishy breakfast for me. (Nothing savoury in the morning, to be honest ;D )
And I'll echo kygal in repeating just HOW educational this place can be.

I've actually MADE kedgeree! It IS delicious. I can see why Rev. Duchemin would go totally bonkers over it.

I noticed in the Radio Times that after Parade's End on Friday at 10 pm, the BBC is showing a documentary called The World of Parade's End in which writers and actors discuss it. Hopefully perhaps Rufus will be in it. It should be interesting anyway.
If this is in the wrong place GE2 , please feel free to move it.

Oh, cool! So they did give him a larger role than he has in the book

I have set the recorder for all of it!
