It does sound like a great role. I love the pic of his dressed up as the vicar. He looks like the drawing he did for rai in her avatar. Maybe Rufus was being prophetic...?

There was a discussion about PE on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Review last night: www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/b01lz7yh (only available if you can access the BBC i-Player) One person wasn't too impressed at the start of the series, until.... "...Once we got as far as a wonderful breakfast scene, where Rufus Sewell goes dramatically mad over the kedgeree, I thought this was going to be fine. The dialogue stars to improve, the pace starts to improve, the acting suddenly starts to improve...." Also, here's a link to the Daily Mail article LTM mentioned on the last page: deareje.tumblr.com/post/29685245690/parades-end-article-in-daily-mail-weekend

Thanks for the links, GE2!
I love that the Daily Mail has Rufus among the pictured cast, although his part is much smaller than the other actors' roles. (Or did they play up the importance of Mr. Duchemin in the adaptation? Not that I'd mind!)

"...where Rufus Sewell goes dramatically mad over the kedgeree This totally makes me . I can hardly wait to see this! Roof gets to be funny on screen again! And the description of Rev. Duchemin in the Daily Mail article ... ... an eccentric vicar [who] embarrasses his wife Edith by peppering his conversation with sexual commentsRufus probably had a blast playing this character.

I had to look up "kedgeree" - never heard of it. Rufus said his role in Parade's End was "delicious". Coincidence? I think not. Looking forward to it! Rai
