So there you go - Rufus is getting in some practice by playing a journalist in "England Their England" so he'll be perfect for the role in Sir Tom's new play! Excellent logic, GE2!

Well, Rufus must have finished filming his cameo:
@mammothscreen
Mammoth Screen
It's been an extroardinary shoot, and today #Parade'sEnd wraps! Well, apart from a teeny weeny special effect shot...

So that's probably why he's finally got time for Christmas shopping Thanks for finding that, GE2! By the way: has anyone read the book so far?

In the indenpendant today (a UK newspaper) there was a piece about how the BBC had commissioned Tom Stoppard to write some sexy gritty new drama for them for next season...... heres hoping Tom recommends Rufus to try out for the casting based on his passed experiences and good reviews of POTE ?? www.independent.co.uk/news/media/....rd-2037768.html« Last Edit: Jul 29, 2010, 6:50pm by hippinschick » Above posted last year..... seemed it was a good guess - we must have sent some good karma Tom and Roofs way for this one !!

I had the opportunity to see Sir Tom about a year ago. The NY Times has a series of Q & A with various artists, chefs, celebs. It's in a marvelous space and it's usually one on 1 interview then the Q&A afterwards. He was in town for the revival of Arcadia, which I was seeing the following week. He's quite an interesting person and the interview was an eye opener. Have to say since I have the complete Sewell version of Arcadia on my i-pod, the only thought that was running in my head throughout the play was thinking how marvelous Ruf must have been as Septimus anyone else pales in comparison. Billy Cruddup played the contemporary role and he left me wanting more. Too studied and aloof. This sounds like an interesting project and I look forward to it.

Interesting video, thank you, GE2! (I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not sure I'd want the job of pulling the camera cart along like a rickshaw.) This series looks like it will be very well done. I don't have HBO, but will look forward to seeing it when it's out on DVD.

Thanks GE2, that looked really interesting. I can so understand why the residents there didn't mind the filming!

, that does look promising! It's the kind of thing I'd even have loved if Rufus was not in it ... but all the better that he is!
