Love Rufus #2 - very yummy. And I do believe the old "new" post click to get you to the newest post in a thread is back. It worked for me tonight.

IMHO now the posts do not blend into each other any more. 
The devault avatars of Rufus are certainly an improvement to the PB one! 
And it's lovely to have a few more smileys - I recognized that I miss them if there are no ones...

Ginny, thanks for all your valuable information and hints! (Not that I'm doing anything structurally--poor GE2 has to do all the work here--but it's really nice of you to pass on your knowledge, and very much appreciated.) GE2, thanks for all the work you have done to correct the Proboards "improvements." It must be really time-consuming to figure out all the new stuff and apply it. I'm especially glad you were able to fix the logo.  I also agree with Frannie about the lines between posts. I didn't like how it made quotes from others too hard to distinguish from one's own post. I don't think the new lines are too harsh at all. And I do believe the old "new" post click to get you to the newest post in a thread is back. It worked for me tonight. Rachel, I've noticed that if I come to the Rooftop and don't sign in, when I click on the "new" post I get sent to the first page of a thread. If I'm signed in, I get sent to the newest post. |

Nell,there is still a Reply button at the bottom of the page that will take you to the full Reply box. It's been moved to the right hand corner of the blue bar in Quick Reply box. It's really stupid positioning for it, since it makes it seem like it is a part of the Quick Reply. (And I've just found out that you can start to type your message in the Quick Reply box, click the "Reply" button in the upper right corner, and what you've typed will carry over to the full Reply box. That's nice, I guess.) I missed this before. Thanks for the info Rueful. I totally missed the reply button on the blue bar thinking it was just for the quick reply And great we have our rolling eye emo back It's nice to see the banner too and a nice new default avatar. Thanks for all the hard work you've put in straightening it out GE2 |

Thank you, ladies - still more changes to come, once I figure out which button does what. 
I'd like to take the credit and say the alternate colour effect was deliberate, but how it turned out was a complete surprise!! I thought all I'd done was to change the background colour in the contents boxes (they looked so plain just white) and didn't realise it would jazz things up like it has. Win-win!
And soon, thanks to our lovely Stama , we will have a new background....if I can set it up correctly. Watch this space! (Or rather, that space >>>>>>> )

That's a completely different background! With all its green and interspersed blue it reminds me much of a lovely summer day and the reflections of a pool....
