Hmmmm, have to say I like the sound of this as I like science fiction, but please can our Rufus be the capitarno! Oh and a big yes to the jacket

Rufus gravitating towards "monstrous roles"...

I really like the first part of Event Horizon, when sci-fi is predominant and the story has still some mistery to discover. The second part turns into horror and then almost gore and I usually skip it, it's also a bit frightening; I suppose due to the great skill of Sam Neal.

Saw Event Horizon at the cinema as a teenager, I spent half of the movie with my coat over my head barely daring to take a peek! I just remember the quote, 'where you're going, you don't need eyes' and it still gives me chills! Had nightmares for weeks, Sam Neill is brilliantly terrifying, and for me most of the scary stuff is less gore and more psychological horror. I hope this is more like Pandorum though, which has a very, very similar storyline and there was less carnage and more heroics. Same with Prometheus which was good and had more going for it in terms of story then Event Horizon. And as much as I'd like to see Rufus play the hero, done right 'John Link' could be a very interesting character for him to play (definitely something to sink his acting teeth into), far more multifaceted and challenging then the captain. It's got to be very well written & directed to carry off such a premise though (especially consider all the rape themes in the synopsis and the cheap VFX they've shown so far).

I agree RR, the "baddie" would be more interesting for Rufus!

Maybe, but a good guy would be a nice change.

Maybe, but a good guy would be a nice change. And maybe he would be still alive by the end of the film. A real change...

Well, I'm still a bit iffy about the project itself, but of course I'm happy to see something new confirmed! (And I do hope it's not another baddie!) RoofieRoo, yes, Sean Bean could be considered a spoiler on legs
