I first noticed this beautiful man in Martha meet, Frank Daniel, and Lawrence.
I went to see something else (a Meg Ryan Romantic I think) as a teenager. He reminded me of my boyfriend at the time. (he doesn't look like him really, only similar in certain shots.)
It was the shot where he is outside the cafe with Daniel and he is smoking, I said to my friend "Oh my god that man looks like Damian".
But after that I kind of forgot about him.
Then late one night (after a girls night out) I was with the same friend and we were watching Uk Gold (it was on in the back ground) and Middlemarch came on
, it had been showing for a while and it was an episode with Will in
.
I started running around the room looking for a video and recorded the episode. I then found out when the other episodes were on and recorded them as well.
A week later my friend rang and told me about a play in London. "Do you fancy going, that Rufus guys in it"
Of course I agreed. When Rufus came on stage at first we felt let down, he was very skinny and looked ill, and he was breathless as if he had been running.
(I have since read that he never turns up early for plays as he hates to wait around and he prefers to go straight on stage).
But then he went off stage and when he reappeared he was like a different person, he was gorgeous and very talented and by the time the interval came we had forgotten that we only came to see him because he was Sexy.
I think that was when I fell in love with him actually, when I realised that he was such a good actor.
Also I knew even then that he had a good sense of humour because they went of stage and my friend (not realising they would come back for the encore) stood up and loudly said "ohh were did my penny whistle go?"
Rufus who was stood, ready to bow, in front of where we were sat (we were only 2 rows back and it was a small theatre) looked at her and laughed (loudly).
Macbeth was fantastic and I found myself feeling sorry for him and blaming his wife, she made him kill. (only Rufus could make people feel sorry for a murderer. he did the same thing in Helen of Troy)
Anyway back to the thread I joined because the cap-its were on the Eleventh hour site. (And I am very glad that I did join).
