LOL. I'm throwing my hat in the ring. I have soft plans to go sometime in January or early February, when flights and hotels are cheaper. I'm a pretty independent traveler and would prefer someone who is like me and does not feel the need (or desire) to be "attached at the hip" to their roomie. I'd prefer someone who likes to do their own touristing during the day, then perhaps we go out together "on the town" at night. I have a lot of things I want to do in NYC that I know will only interestest me and I don't want to bore someone else. LOL. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat.

Maybe those of us who have absolutely no chance of getting to Broadway should set ourselves up with a lottery syndicate and hope our numbers come up LOL

Maybe those of us who have absolutely no chance of getting to Broadway should set ourselves up with a lottery syndicate and hope our numbers come up LOL Meet me at Kingsford Smith on the morning of Dec 2. I'll be carrying one of those really large plaid bags you can buy nearly anywhere. Once you get to LA you're on your own.

OK, you're on! A VERY large plaid bag:) you've got several months--should be plenty of time to learn to spend 15 hours bent double in an overhead bin. ;D Or if you'd rather I can always check you with the other luggage.

Hi Uncorked:
I unfortunately am not going to see RnR, but I am from NYC, and there's a hotel on I think 60th and 2nd or 3rd Ave, called the Metropolitan Hotel, that is reasonable and quite nice. You can take the subway (which is around the corner, but I forget which line) or the bus, or a cab to the theatre. Ahh, I'm so jealous, wish I was going, but have a great time!
As for website, I always use Hotels.com, and have never had a problem with it, have had a nasty experience with Expedia, so would never recommend it to anyone!

I unfortunately am not going to see RnR, but I am from NYC, Rugirl, you live in NYC and you aren't going? That's a real bummer! I'm going sometime from mid January to mid February when the flights and hotel are at their cheapest. LOL.

It's a bummer either way to be honest, but if I were home, I'd be front and center all the way!
