I was so busy last eve posting about Rufus' movies and watching EH that I didn't think to post some good news.

The evening before last, I successfully performed an energy healing on a friend, utilizing a method I hadn't tried before. Kudos to him for being so trusting.

Basically, he told me something had attached itself to him. I asked him if he can picture where in his body it is located, but he hadn't thought of that before. He figured it was in his face, which seemed rather odd to me, so - without telling him what I was doing- I just walked toward him with my hands out before me and started feeling around in his energy field -with my eyes mostly closed- from the navel upward. He said , "Woa... I can feel that" and all I was doing at the time was feeling out whether or not something was there and if so, where exactly.

Anyway, I found it and asked his permission to remove it and he said I could, so I did. In less than ten minutes, he could actually feel the difference.

After I had gotten into darker magicks, I hadn't done any energy healing as I wasn't sure of myself and didn't want to make someone worse off than they already were. I didn't know how to work that way within a darker context. However, now that I am moreso in the middle so to speak, the other eve, I just knew what to do and it worked! I utilized a dark method and a light method, for lack of better terms.

It felt so good to help someone again! So, now I know two methods which work and will hopefully help others in the future to get rid of energy or even charge them up afterward.

My friend is only starting to become aware of chi, so I offered to teach him some basics. I may have a student in the near future! I'm thrilled! I finally have a chance to give back, so to speak, after 3 decades of training and to do so with confidence. I had been teaching people here and there along the way in minor ways, but I was not where I am at now. Now it feels right.

Great vittoria! I know the first time I did Reiki, I was taken back a little the first time I felt the sensation of someone else's "energy". I do Reiki on my cats now about once a week and it does make them more relaxed and less prone to "seperation anxiety" like they used to have when I was gone for several hours. I also do it before and after vet visits to calm them.

DGD--I hope you don't have to head to Iraq. Be sure to keep in touch when you go to Afghanistan!

Cool that you do Reiki Ambra! Very cool! Did you discover by accident that you could manipulate energy or were you trained first? Have you had any energy accidents? In Reiki, there are spiritual entities helping, are there not?

As for me, I had been in Martial Arts training which was also for me energy training due to certain techniques we were learning. However, I didn't understand what was possible back then in my late 20's. The first time I really did anything with energy in a startling way was in Tai Chi class long ago. I accidently threw an energy ball at a seasoned Tai Chi practioner during our "form" (Yang style Tai Chi- long form). She just stopped in her tracks and was looking around looking totally confused. It wasn't until years ago when I learned on an intellectual level about chi balls and trained in using them that I understood what had happened back then.

What is the methodology in Reiki? Can you share a bit about that here?

Well, when I helped my friend the other night it wasn't the first time I had performed energy work. I had done it years ago when I was in a different state of .... erm... spiritual evolution. My method back then was very different. Back then, I actually discovered it by accident. I was hugging one of my gal pals as she was going through a hard time. Out of the blue, she said, "I know what you're doing." I was confounded for a moment. Then she explained that she could feel all of the bad stuff coming out of her through the top of her head!

After that occured, I decided to do it with purpose and helped another gal pal (whom has chronic pain and illness) by using the hug strategy which is my use of light by channelling through myself positive energy and directing it into the other person, driving out the . It worked so well, she was charged up for 10 days! She could tell the difference very quickly and asked me, "But don't you feel like crap now?" So, I explained to her that I was charged up too as I was being used like a funnel with oil coming down through me and sticking to the insides of the funnel while it went into her.

The both dark and light method I used the other night was new to me. I felt where the was and sucked it into myself through my hands without any physical contact with my male friend. I did so until I was satiated and then just beyond so I could simultaneously remove the while not tapping into his positive and then tossed away the amount of left over that I didn't myself need. The energy extracted from him was converted to positive in me so I could use it myself.

Over the years, I have also learned to utilze energy for defensive methods in case of attack also and the use of both higher and lower forms of energy when offensive maneuvers are necessary.

it feels so very weird to discuss these things, but i felt that once, its was quite uncomfortable. in fact i was terrified. the friend who who was "doing" some kind of energy channeling on me at my request was surprised at my reaction, but adapted to the situation, and a while later i was feeling the "bad things" going down instead of up, down into the ground. in fact, i felt so "grounded" that it only felt good.

i asked if this was normal, my friend said that "normal" was probably not the accurate word when it comes to energy, that it was not common that i reacted with panic - although i easily panicked at these things back then - but since i was confortable with the energy going the other way, it was probably "normal" for me that it would happen this way.

i did some tai chi a few years later, and a few form of meditations, and since then i just consider this "energy flow" as any other, blood or nerve or whatever. in other words i stopped panicking.

TIP:

Hmmm... If you had never felt energy before, it could be quite startling- especially if you feel it as intensely as you are describing. I'm so glad you stopped panicing! Indeed, "grounding" is sending energy downward rather than upward. The result feels very different and is very different and each is done with a different purpose.

However, it is good to learn how to move your chi upward as well as you can utilize chakra cleansing techniques, for example, or even learn to help protect yourself or even to heal people with this energy direction of flow. Simply make certain that your flow does not exit your crown if that still makes you panic. Rather, circulate it.

If you get to the point wherein you feel you are ready to send energy upward through your crown, simply draw energy up from the earth and into yourself and through yourself continuously- non stop. Then, once you feel cleansed, reach upward and pull energy down from the heavens and down as far as the soles of your feet (partial grounding). You may find then that you do not panic. Panic occurs when we lose a sense of self-control that we are not accustomed to. The better we learn to control chi flow, the less intimidating the whole process is- as I'm sure you have realized via the work you have been doing up until now.

Personally, when I send my own energy through my crown, it is in order to either do a power shot of energy out to "pop the top" so to speak or in Ascension exercises which are more advanced. When I do so for someone else, I am the grounded source as well as being the channel and the person on the receiving end is receiving to a point wherein they just end up glowing rather than feeling too "out there".

It is quite possible that the person who worked on you (the time when you paniced) went too far. It sounds like you are well enough balanced now, so no worries.

I Just: heard from my friend whom I helped the other day. He says I must have "kicked some transdimensional as*" as he is still living the difference it made. I am so happy! F**k yeah! I've still got it!

We had a section on Reiki when I was in massage therapy school. I'd heard of the practice but wasn't really familiar with it. I'd always been "sensitive" to energy, part of being a Pisces I guess. The way I was taught was to go into a meditative state to connect with a "higher energy" whether you choose to see that as the traditional Judeo-Christian God or just something you accept as being on a higher plain than yourself. You then channel that energy through your own "chi" or energy field to get it in tune then use that energy to "read" and manipulate the chi of someone else. I'm only a level one Reiki practioner but I'd like to work my way to third level if not master at which point I could train others. When I do Reiki, I can feel the center of my palms get hot and they tingle as I move over another energy field. The best way I can describe what it feels like if I find something in the energy field that needs to be "fixed" is a tugging sensation as if there's a string going from my palm to the energy field and that string has gotten caught on something. I'll linger on that area and concentrate on it until the "tugging" is gone.

I'm also "sensitive" to paranormal experiences; I love history but going to battlefields is often emotionally over-whelming. I visited Appomattox a few years ago and was walking along the road that ran next to where the defeated Confederette army was camped. I became overcome with despair at one point and my chest actually began to tighten like I was having an anxiety attack. I couldn't go any further so I turned around and headed back the way I came. Wtihin a few feet, the feelings subsided and then disappeared. I really want to go to Gettysburg one day but I know I'm going to have to prepare myself first so my emotions don't overtake me.

It sounds like your sensitivity works similar to mine (re: chi). Sometimes my hands get hot. Sometimes I just feel the pressure of the energy's existence in another person. A string where there is a problem, eh? I'll try to describe what it feels like in my case. Hmmmmm.... Well, in my case, when feeling energy's existence in and of itself, it is like air pressure. When my hands reach an area which is troubled with very dark energy in someone who doesn't want it to be there, firstly, the pressure sensation changes so that the space in which it occupies feels different from the rest of the person's energy field.

Secondly, I sense whether the difference is positive or and simultaneously get an inner eye visual of something like dark mist. When that neg energy is out, the pressure changes to match the rest of the energy field. When reading an energy field, at the same time, I open myself to Universal chi to make sure I am headed in the right direction with everything I say and do.

If I myself am absorbing the neg energy for my own use, I can also sense when I am satiated and whether or not there is any left in the other person. If there is any left and I am satiated, I channel out and toss the rest away so that it dissipates. This is not a method I recommend for beginners.

Reiki, from your description of it seems very similar to what I do- at least part of one of my methods. Much of what I know, I probably also have no label for. Thank you for answering my questions and sharing your knowledge with me. At least I know now that part of what I do is like Reiki. I myself am a Master although there is no label I can use except for perhaps Master Energy Manipulator and Spiritual Director. My training has been in a rather Jeet Kune Do way- absorbing what is useful from various sources, becoming proficient enough in it, tossing out what I don't find useful and not getting trapped within a label. I do teach anyone who comes to me whom has potential (already has a sense of energy in some way) and an open mind to possibilities.

So, you get the heebies around heavily spiritual hotspots too, eh? You get used to it after awhile. Have you been to New Orleans? I was there for a couple of weeks years ago (before Katrina) and I have to say it was the heaviest sense of energy I have felt anywhere on this plane. However, I do also sense things and deal with matters transdimensionally long since that trip, which means in my case that heebies are no longer an option. Otherwise, I would be getting the heebies every day of my life! Eeegads! That would indeed be a problem.

Interesting you should say that, Vittoria. The first time I went to NO (and incidentally fell in love with the place), I wanted to visit the oldest voodoo shop there. Now I had been reading all about voodoo and the Santeria religion and the orishas, and so the only feeling I had as we approached was sheer curiosity - no fear or trepidation or anxiety whatsoever, and with an open mind about the religion. My friend entered first, I was just behind her.....but immediately I stepped over that stone threshhold, what I can only describe as a feeling of doom overwhelmed me. What do you make of that? It didn't stop me loving the place, and I went back three more times - but that one event was just about the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me.

Hmmm. Well, I hate to sound like miss know-it-all, please pardon me. It is called "Vo- doo"- not sure of the spelling. Pronounced Voh-doo. For those who do not understand, it is a blending of Haitian Voodoo and Roman Catholicism.

GE II, it is quite possible, that the people who ran that shop you entered were heavy into darker aspects of Magick, which you may not be accustomed to sensing or you were pushed out or pulled out.

I too love N'Awlins. What I am saying is that it has a very high concentration of spiritual activity.

Perhaps I should explain this a bit. Spiritual dominion works in a hierarchy. Every country has a spirit over it. Every city has a spirit over it. Within that city, there are hot spots and cold spots and various degrees in between. Hotter spots have more activity due to ghosts, dark entities, light entities, Magicks rituals, etc. Churches and other places of worship each have a spirit over them if they are active places of real spiritual activity. Some houses and shops have spirits over them also. Such spirits are often there in the capacity of "Guardian".

Thusly, you can get an overall sense about a whole country or city... and then something more intense in sensation in certain areas therein.

If you enter a place and the energy therein affects you as you have described it may be that it is due to activity not in sync with your own conscience or even the Guardian actually pushing you out or your own Guardian pulling you out. Now, I don't want to creep you out, but to be honest, it could also have been that entities didn't want you there and so the spirits of that place removed you.

While I was there, I spent a couple of nights in the house of a practicing Vo-doo High Priestess. The room wherein I slept had a large photo of A. Crowley on the wall. In the hallway there was a closet with a spirit in it. And this Priestess is a sculptor who purposely uses her pieces as vessels for spirits to the point that her mother would say she didn't want anymore gifts from her as these art pieces would move about of their own accord. That is the type of place it was. I could not count how many spirits were in that place...

And after a couple of days, I got squeezed out of that house like juice from an orange.... Perhaps because I made it clear to the spirits that if they mess with me, they'll pay. This got the house Guardian p****d off with me big time and I wasn't seasoned enough to cope with it at the time. I got cocky. Oops!
