I was just rereading the Olivier nomination announcement article and it says: You can follow all the action, the gossip, the speeches and the frocks on this very website. We will be running an interactive commentary on the night, to make everyone a part of this celebration of West End theatre.

I noticed that originally. I thought I'd remind everyone when we got closer. But we are getting closer aren't we! Can't wait!

So, tonight it's the film BAFTAs and next Sunday night the Olivier Awards......
It's being held at the Grosvenor House Hotel. I wonder what time? Is anyone going to go to watch them coming up the red carpet? Do they even have a red carpet for the Oliviers? (It certainly sounds very grand.....!)

Does Rufus attend the BAFTAS? Surely he'll attend the Olivier Awards, since he's nominated? Well if he does, and there's some shots of him on the red carpet........I hope someone in the UK gets it on tape/DVD! How fun would that be?!!!

Well, it's not on TV in the UK. And I watched the BAFTAs on Sunday, and didn't see him (I was so hoping he'd be a presenter)

anyone know what time these begin? thanks! No idea but evening-ish, I would presume. Is anyone else planning to tune in?? I figure Sunday is going to be reasonably cold here (cold enough to justify staying in) and I have Monday off so I may as well give in and make it Rufus Day. I wish it was a live video stream or at the very least live audio but it says 'live commentary' which may well be a blog type deal. I'm saving "The Last Romantics" for Sunday.

I foolishly made plans for sunday during the day completely forgetting about the time difference blah, blah, blah. So I'll be dropping into an Internet Cafe at some point in the afternoon to see what happened. Please someone post it here so I don't have go hunting around the web to find it. (as if I need to say that ) TLR--love baby Roof in that picture. He's so angry and dark and really intellegent. Not the most subtle of performances but it doesn't need to be.

So are these not televised in the UK? I just assumed that all the awards shows were on TV just like we have over here with the SAGs, Emmy's, Oscars, etc, etc, etc. If it is on TV and someone gets it on DVD........I'm sure we can make sure it gets around! Or at least Ruf's parts!

Cool! So we can watch on our computers! I'm not sure my girls are going to let me sit in front of the computer ALL DAY LONG (with hubby out of town, we're having some girl time and hope to hit the movies) and will probably decide to see a movie Sunday afternoon! But at least I can watch here and there! I hope they talk to him!
I'm not very computer-literate.........is there a way to record bits from this?
