The best film I ever saw Mel Gibson in was an Australian one called "Tim", from a Colleen McCullough book (the author of The Thorn Birds) - he was heartbreaking in that. I do actually prefer him, generally, in the comedy roles, like the Lethal Weapon series.

Oh he was hilarious in "What Women Want" I do like him in dramatic roles as well though. He can pull off the tortured father pretty well (The Patriot, Ransom) I think my favorite of his would be What Women Want though...maybe it was the supporting cast though...that and he had the job I want when I get out of the Navy...well technically Helen Hunt had my job, but now I'm rambling..lol

Oh I quite agree that Madonna and Michael are just F*d up people. I mean cone shaped TaTas and hanging baby's out of windows? I gues I can just see past that and appreciate the music they produce. As for Madonna's acting? The only thing I liked her in was "A League of Their Own", but that was probably because she had an amazing cast around her. I just listen to Michaels music and hear an amazing talent that sadly was (is) overshadowed by a turbulant personal life. He's a tragic figure really. And Madonna has talent. "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" was just mind boggling in how emotional and powerful it was, but again, maybe it's just my opinion.

DGD, nearly forgot about Evita, I did admire her for taking on such a role. She did a credible job, considering. Ilove Ray of Light, gives me chills. Michael's just really sad.
Christina Aguillera gets my vote, she has the voice and the talent. Who'd you get to play Che?

you are so welcome.
ruf can sing, but i dont think that he can sing that good. maybe we should cast him anyway. oh, i dont know, historically speaking, i dont like peron that much. he was a little bit of a pedophile, apparently.

I would love to see Ruf as an angst ridden character, with those expressive eyes just think of the possibilities, something along the lines of The Dead Zone, which was done extremely well with Christopher Walken.

oh! what a good idea! i dont care that much for mr. walken, but in that he was good, though.
or... imagine rufus in the final sequences of 2001: a space odyssey... all the guy could use at that point was his eyes...
what about we start a casting agency?

I'm in. What shall we name it and who will be our first client do you think??? (I've seen Walken in several plays in NYC he is amazing albeit a little scary, he's so big.)

duh!!!! da Green Eyed Wonder, who else? i have a name: o.f.r. inc. = oscar for rufus inc. or, another idea: bedroom eyes agency.
i did not know walken was that big. but i knew he is scary. did you see the interview on youtube where rufus does an imitation of walken? ROTFL, again indeed. i can very much see walken acting this way. he seems to be so weird. i liked him in that tarentino movie, where he played bruce willis' dad's army buddy who brought him back his father's watch... he was hilarious.
ok then, let's hire walken too. a challenge for me, but will make me grow as an agent. we need a few female leads too, for the balance. or do we stick with amazingly weird and / or under-appreciated males?

Let's see, I think we can get Walken, but I say we go for the under appreciated males, I can sympathise with them and I say we give them a chance. I rather like bedroom eyes agency although it may be a tad suggestive.
(walken is amazingly talented, had first row seats in a very intimate theatre, and I swear he kept staring at my shoes, I have very small feet. now i am rotfl.)
