TOTS is just the bomb isn't it? ;D Its one of his movies I watched so many times when I first got it, I pretty much had memorized all the dialogue. Rufus is so fun and sexy in it, and his playing against the fabulous Shirley Henderson makes it just a great show.

The two of them are indeed a fine choice and their interaction is superb! I love the way she screws up her face when she gets mad (while she looks quite pretty in her tiny kind of way). Reminds me of myself at my worst *blush*

Having received the DVD for Christmas, I re-watched Petruchio last week and still love Rufus's exuberant comical talent.
Does anyone happen to know what the piece of music in the end credits is called?

I'm still having a stupid grin on my face after watching TOTS for the first time.
Rufus was just so lovable as Petruchio and at the same time soooooo sexy with a bit of macho thrown in. Shirley Henderson's portrayal was excellent too - I loved the scene with Harry when she comes to terms with her feelings for Petruchio.
But I'm still giggling seeing Rufus stalking around on high heels. So many great scenes in it - this is one film to rewatch over and over again.
The only downside for me was that I sometimes had a bit difficulties to understand the dialogue. Petruchio (in his drunken state) was mumbling a lot and Kate screeching so for a non-native english speaker I had a bit difficulties to understand everything. Another reason to watch it again and again. ;D ;D

(By the way, if you read the whole thread, some of our native speakers had some misunderstandings, too ... I remember a discussion about the word "cockroach" )

I'm kind of relieved to hear that - I usually don't have much problems in understanding the dialogue - even without english subtitles but in this case that would have really helped.
I guess I have to watch it until I understand every single word - I see no hardship in this ;D

Well, I have got the English subtitles, so if you need... (And I made a Hungarian version, so... no, I think nobody is interested ;D)

Just watched TOTS for the first time today two times. What a treat brilliantly acted by Rufus of course and Shirley. You can watch it again and again and see more into it. I agree with you Zenina. The dialogue is a little fast and hard to understand. I couldn't pick it all up either. Oh well will have to watch it again and again.

Just had to watch it again today. Kept rewinding bits so that I could pick up most of the dialogue as because they were arguing & fighting most of the time it went at a very fast pace. What a brilliant job he made of this. I even love him as a cross dresser. One of the funniest bits for me was when they both were (him drunkenly) and her spitting fire, tottering down the isle (him in his high heeled boots) and when she raged about the way he was dressed, he apologised and then said ' I'm not a p..f '. . No worries on that score.' I also loved the part later on when he had walked into her office and when she came in and he was sat on the desk of her secretary she gave him a little melting lovesick look (only for a second) but it was marvellous to watch There are so may witty lines that it is a scream to watch and you cannot help but roar with laughter. They acted this film out to perfection in fact all the cast were very good. The writing was marvellous and I am sure Rufus must have really enjoyed doing this film. It showed off his comic talents to perfection. I am surprised that he has not been in any other films of a similar nature since. Or has he - I don't think so but am not aware of everything single thing he has done! :PWill never get tired o watching this one.
