This has been bugging me for some time and I dont know if anyone has a dvd with captions (mine isnt captioned) but I cannot work out what Stephen Tompkinson is saying when he is describing Katherine. Face like a "bust shoe???" Some people think she's a dyke or (then something completely unintelligible) or Hitler. Anyone able to fill in the gaps for me? I'm sorry, but I can't be of much help. I struggled with the same. The dvd has no option for under-titles. I pity the deaf! But, luckily I'm not and I heard "the bust shoe" etc too.

Well, just for you, Quoll, I forced myself to watch this again and it's: "Face like a bust shoe. Everyone thinks she's a dyke. Or mad. Or Hitler. Or something". And now I feel the need to watch the rest of it again..... ;D

Mad? I thought it was a two syllable word which is why I was confused. Will now go back and watch it again (any excuse is better than none isnt it?!) You could well be right there though!

Oh great, now I really can't wait till the DVD is on sales here in the US. I just might have to plaster my face to the TV screen (I was gonna do that anyway)...for good measure to make sure I get every word clearly. I reckon I might have to lick the screen a time or two. LOL Geezus, the things I have to do for Da Man Rufus. Hahahhahahaa

Amazon hasn't shipped my order to me yet. But I found the movie available for rental at Blockbuster online. So I got it yesterday. Watched it with my daughter last nite and we both enjoyed it very much. Now she knows why I love and lust after Rufus. LOL.

I'm anxiously awaiting for my Amazon order. I didn't get a chance to order it till a couple of days ago...so it will probably be a while. I'm going to be checking my mailbox everyday like a kid on Christmas morning! It never occured to me to go to a movie rental place....I assumed they wouldn't have it, since I have a hard time finding Rufus movies, I figured this one would be even more obscure since it was made for (British) tv.

Mine is on its way (claimed Amazon on Thursday)....
I checked Blockbuster many months ago just for the hell of it. They didn't have it, not even listed or in their database. Then after I ordered it from Amazon a couple of weeks ago, I'd thought I will go see if Blockbuster would have it on the 24th for rental. They had it. I wonder when it was available for rental. I should have checked everyday and perhaps could have seen it long ago. Oh well. Better late than never, right? It's so worth the wait.
Not sure why blockbuster would have it earlier than the official sales release. Maybe their buyer is a real Rufus Fan too?!?!?!?! LOL.

I finally got my dvd on Saturday! I've already watched it twice - LOVE IT! There are so many hilarious moments/lines. And so much sexiness.... "..then I'm going to rip your knickers off and have sex with you." Oh my.... Did anyone notice that Petruchio says something like, "I will hear no more talk of divorce", to Kate. Doesn't Rufus say the SAME thing to Shirley in Charles II??? (I have to admit though, some of the dialogue was hard for me to hear. Especially when he was drunk at the church. The combo of his (lovely!) British accent and drunken mumbling made it difficult for me.)
