I envy all you ladies who have seen it already! I live in Canada, so I'm waiting impatiently for the PBS broadcast on July 17. The little clips on Youtube have me dying to see more. I hope they finally release a region one DVD. Otherwise, I'm going to have to rush out and buy a region free player and get the DVDs from Amazon UK.

Hi Jo! Welcome to the Rooftop! I only joined a little while ago and have been having the best time. I am in your exact same situation when it comes to Zen. Just like you, I've been dying to see it, and was so excited to hear of it finally coming to not only Canada but to the USA July 17th. I then realized I would be leaving on my vacation going back home to England July 13th, and will be missing its premiere completely. So, like you, I'll probably wind up searching for a region free player and getting my hands on the DVDs thru Amazon UK. Oh well. The ladies here warned me I'd be bled dry of all my $$ but, as they said, it's all just tending to my Rufusitis.

I'm bled dry already. I fell for Rufe only a month back when one of our TV stations rebroadcast 'Pillars of the Earth'. At which point I went right out and bought every Rufus movie available on Amazon and Ebay. I'm broke, but happy.

Hi again, Jo (just answered your post on the LoZ screencaps thread). I'll also extend my invitation here, to introduce yourself formally on the members section. Yes, falling for Rufus can be expensive!

That's a lovely vid, rueful. Love seeing him teamed up with classics like Marple and Poirot!

Well, now, who looks the most enthralling out of that trio, hm? ;D
I wonder if Rufus will do/has recorded any interviews for PBS just before it airs? Fingers crossed!
(Thanks, Rueful)

Well, now, who looks the most enthralling out of that trio, hm? ;D I've always loved Marple* and Poirot, but they do pale in comparison! *Didn't like the Geraldine McEwan version though! Something off about her characterization. Or maybe it was just the way they butchered the plots.

There's nothing like the old, classic Marples. They are such wonderful old-fashioned fun.

Thanks for posting the links Rueful!! I too have always liked Poirot and Miss Marple but seeing Rufus alongside those classics!! Yeah!! Wonder what Danny Cohen would make of that!! Again everyone fingers and toes crossed that Zen gains popularity when shown in the states where he already has lots of fans already missing EH, therefore hopefully wanting to see more Zen!
