Good News that Rufus is working again. Vampires - not my cup of tea, but with the book being a best seller and Tim Burton producing, and Vampires seem to be in vogue at present, this is probably a good move for Rufus.
I agree with you all ladies. He will be the sexiest Vampire ever!!

Hopefully this will be a good part for him in hopefully a status movie!!
Another plus is it seems to have a good cast, Dominic Cooper etc.

Sounds like the movie goes more into the direction of traditional vampire films, which is good.

I really hope the script and direction is good and for this reason, and only for this, Rufus accepted the role, because when we talked last year, he said me to be very annoyed for all the productions who called him just for roles of villain. Moreover vampires are hackneyed at this time. Anyway, it is the first job after a year, so... unfortunately the dream of ZEN is over for now.

I know he gets tired of the villian type casting, but if something is interesting and different enough he seems to be ok with it. Yet another period piece though! I am looking forward to it, sounds fun and right for him! Hes probably doing this until the Zen stuff is straightened out.

He will be one sexy vampire! Just think of what Numbat can do with this fanfiction arc!

I have heard about this book from a friend and she says it is very funny so maybe that was what attraced our man. I am borrowing that book from her as soon as I can. Very excited. ;D ;D

I'm not sure yet what to think about this - I'm really not into this kind of thing if it turns out to be gory (which I presume it will be) But of course I think Rufus will be absolutely splendid as hopefully sexy vampire. And I hope it's a big part.

I haven't given up hope for Zen - didn't it say they were finishing shooting already in May? So there is still plently of time to film more Zen.

I agree Zenina! If filming on this film ends in May, he could do more Zen.


Lets not give up hope of more Zen. As the films are being shown in several countries hopefully more people will like it and thus another series will be made. Still can't believe not enough people like it for this to happen. Zen is a wonderful series!! As I know we all agree!!
So lets keep positive about this.

Still great news that Rufus has landed this part. From what I have read this may be quite a prestigious film. The subject of Vampires is not my kind of thing really but I am hoping it will further enhance Rufus' career if it proves popular with the younger set!!

Burton's only the producer, Timur Bekmambetov will be directing. And they are filming in New Orleans (oh yes, I can imagine Rufus strolling around with his camera ).

Given what I've read in the Amazon reviews of the book, I foresee a brutal, gory and violent end for Rufus in this film. Again. Only this time with an axe.

What I wouldn't give for a film in which he is a major character and in which he is alive and happy at the end of the film.
