(And I made a Hungarian version, so... no, I think nobody is interested ;D) sure I AM! Would you show me please where I can get the English subtitles? And so you have translated it, have you? (I have ongoing translation projects too... of other films I like...) Thank you in advance. Köszönöm

I bought the DVD a month ago, and haven't stopped watching it...Rufus's character's so over the top it's funny. Now I'm fearing my wedding...the honeymoon scene when they're trying to 'get it on' and over with was really funny. My friend and I could not stop laughing. could you imagine that a lady on youtube was asking if she was the one only that who found that quasi-rape scene a bit disturbing?? disturbing?? p-leee-ase!

take that broad's name off the guest list for the next rooftoppers get-together immediately! she's probably just 'acting out' because she's jealous of rufus' ability to wear high-heeled boots and mini-skirts with more style than she has. (i've mentally discarded about a dozen things i'd like to say at this point and I will, I Will, I WILL be a good girl!!!)

unbelievable. clearly missed kate's signals that tho she is really angry she is in no way repulsed by him or been put off. the honeymoon comments - he dared to 'invite his friend on our honeymoon' - then corrects herself in case she gave him the wrong idea - 'not that it is any kind of honeymoon'. her wedding ring stays on - she would have taken it off if she wanted nought to do with him. plus - that she even went with him on their romantic holiday. (on this last - i remember buying a trip to venice for myself and a bloke i felt a passing attraction to only to discover that the attraction passed far more quickly than i thought and actually i could not stand him. so i pulled out of the trip at the last moment and left him to go to venice on his own. and i think thats what kate would have done too, if she really did not fancy him.)

unbelievable. clearly missed kate's signals that tho she is really angry she is in no way repulsed by him or been put off. romantic holiday. .) Not only that but she missed the immediate signals as well...no rapist i've ever seen in any movie at all (and I've seen quite a few in my youth) asks "are you ready?" and no victim answers "when you are!". But i guess it takes a huge dose of over-interpreted feminism, or whatever they call it nowadays, to come up a question like hers. Oh...I could go on an on about this movie for days. I particularly enjoyed it, apart from the very reason that I've got to watch it for (Roof, that is:D), cause Kate is so much me in some cases (well, I'm not particularly proud of that) and I've got some sort of Petruchio of my own (No, he does not wear make up and heels, and he's not that handsome either, which is good, to be frank, cause I would have hired a bodyguard if he had been..but hey, I'm no MP either:P). This movie is so much about learning how to be a couple, about learning how to give up one's (unnecessary and over the top level of) pride, one's ego...Not really sure whether that was Shakespeare's initial intention (have to read more about it to make an opinion), but to quote another movie that I'm very fond of ( a movie to which the stairs scene could be a )..."frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn".

in isolation, the way he throws her on the bed looks violent. For a split second I actually held my breath when I saw that for the first time - but it's very clear from the context that this is a clash between two large egos, two very intense personalities. I love the end of this scene when he walks out and she's devastated with disappointment.

I love the end of that scene when she squirms on the bed and groans in frustration! The way she burrows into the bed is great - makes me laugh every time! I also love the beginning of that scene when he drops his trousers so quickly and she just stares at him - so funny!

You know, I had the same reaction, but probably not for the reason you are thinking. My thought was, "Great, some idiot over-the-top libber is going to use this to bash my boy." And she certainly did, shame on her!
